As part of UK Sangat Darshan 2026, an Educational Symposium on Value-Based Education: Shaping the Future of Ethical Learning will be held at the House of Parliament, London, hosted by Sikh MPs, on 9 June 2026.
Hon'ble Dr. Davinder Singh Ji, Mukh Sewadar – The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, will deliver a special address on the transformative impact of value-based education and its
role in shaping future generations.
Drawing upon the experience of the Akal Academy network of 130 schools across five Indian states - Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh—along with 2 universities and other educational initiatives inspired by the vision of the revered founding saints, Sant Attar Singh Ji, Sant Teja Singh Ji and Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, the discussion will explore how education rooted in values can contribute to building a more compassionate, responsible, and peaceful society.
The symposium will bring together educators, policymakers, and thought leaders to deliberate on the role of value-based education in nurturing ethical leadership, responsible citizenship, character development, and social harmony in an increasingly complex world.

International Finals Jakarta, Indonesia
Students of Akal Academy Baru Sahib showcased remarkable innovation, dedication, and technical excellence by earning the prestigious opportunity to participate in the Codeavour 7.0 International Finals held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
This international event showcased creativity, technology, and global collaboration, bringing together 265 teams from 22 countries and providing a global platform for innovation, learning, and the exchange of ideas among students.
The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries and eminent personalities from the fields of education and technology. The Guests of Honour included Bapak Jumail.
The project titled “Anti-Collision Truck” by Master Mahesh Rathi and his team from Akal Academy Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, India, proudly represented the institution at the international level under the theme “Smart Transportation and Public Safety.”
The project was developed with the objective of enhancing road safety and reducing accidents involving heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses. Inspired by real-life transportation challenges, the students designed an innovative model aimed at promoting safer transportation systems and improving public safety through technology-based solutions.
Significant cooperation was also extended by team members Master Amrit Singh and Master Granth Singh.
The students were guided and mentored by Team members of ICT department whose technical guidance, motivation, and continuous encouragement played a vital role in the successful completion and presentation of the project at the international platform.
The team was felicitated by Hon’ble Dr. Davinder Singh Ji, the School Principal, and the teaching faculty in recognition of their achievement and for representing the institution on an international platform.
Many Congratulations to the students and mentors whose dedication and teamwork made this achievement possible.
Leading the cohort, Gurpreet Kaur secured an exceptional 93% in the Cambridge IGCSE (Grade 10) Examination, achieving an A* Grade and emerging as the top performer of the batch. This remarkable accomplishment was made even more impressive by her perfect score of 100/100 in English.
Kudos to Hashman Kaur for securing 89.6%, Keeratpal Singh for achieving 88.4%, Karandeep Singh for scoring 86.2%, Nandani Gupta for attaining 85.6%, Simrat Kaur for securing 84.6%, Avinoor Kaur for achieving 79.8%, and Amarjeet Kaur for scoring 79.2%. Your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have truly paid off.
The Cambridge IGCSE results reflect a culture of academic achievement, with a 100% pass rate, two students securing A* Grades with overall percentages of 93% and 90%, and six students scoring between 80% and 89%.
Students also demonstrated exceptional subject-wise performance, achieving the highest scores in:
English – 100
Hindi – 96
Mathematics – 95
Computer Science – 92
Science – 92
Business Studies – 89
