From First Serve to Final Point, A Remarkable Tournament Concludes!
The All-Girls CBSE Tennis Tournament at Akal Academy Baru Sahib concluded after three days of spirited competition, filled with energy, discipline and inspiring sportsmanship.
The final day began with the Under-14 category, where Modern Delhi International School, Faridabad, secured the gold medal after a well-fought match against Mind Tree School, Ambala, who earned silver. The third position was shared by M.V.N. School, Aravali Hills, Faridabad and Manav Rachna School, Mohali.
In the Under-17 finals, Ryan International School, Chandigarh emerged victorious with gold, while Little Angels School, Sonipat, took silver. Sacred Heart Convent School and Kamla Nehru School, Phagwar,a shared the bronze.
The Under-19 title match saw Delhi Public School, Faridabad, claim the gold medal, with Little Angels School, Sonipat, once again taking silver. The third position was jointly awarded to Cambridge International School, Jalandhar, and Akal Academy, Baru Sahib.
The closing ceremony marked the culmination of this dynamic sporting event, where rank holders across all categories were felicitated for their exceptional performance.

The Tournament opened with great enthusiasm and participation.
On the first day, we witnessed exciting matches across schools in the Under-14 and Under-17 age groups . Each match reflected the players' commitment, energy, and sportsmanship.

Ryan International, Chandigarh, took on Cambridge International, Kapurthala, in a dynamic face-off.
M.G.N. Jalandhar clashed with Kamla Nehru, Phagwara, delivering high-spirited rallies.
In the Under-14 Girls category:
Akal Academy Baru Sahib played a lively match against Modern School, Sevli (Sonipat).
Modern Delhi International, Faridabad went head-to-head with Bal Bharti, Manesar.
In the Under-17 Girls category:
A strong match unfolded between Sacred Heart, Jagadhri and S.R. Century, Bahadurgarh.

Opening Day | A Spiritual Start to a Sporting Celebration
Today marked the auspicious beginning of the CBSE North Zone All-Girls Tennis Tournament at Akal Academy Baru Sahib.
As per the tradition of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, the event commenced with Shabad Kirtan, invoking divine blessings. Students from Classes 7 to 12 performed soul-stirring hymns, setting a serene and devotional tone.
This was followed by an orchestra performance, a unique hallmark of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, featuring 25 student musicians playing traditional instruments like Dilruba, Taus, Rabab, Sitar, Xylophone, Tabla, Harmonium, Casio, and Pakhawaj.
Next, the youngest voices took the stage! Students from Nursery to Class 5 (IB- PYP) performed a heartwarming skit, "Heal the World," spreading the message of universal brotherhood and spiritual unity.
The ceremony concluded with insightful addresses by Babaji Dr. Davinder Singh ji (The President of Kalgidhar Trust) and Dr. Neelam Kaur Ji, who beautifully highlighted the spiritual essence of Akal Academy Baru Sahib — a modern-day Gurukul nurturing both wisdom and values.
