The Annual Training Camps of the 1 HP Girls Battalion, Solan, have commenced at Akal Academy Baru Sahib, the Values Valley, hosted by Akal Academy Baru Sahib and Eternal University. Over the course of the camp, around 1200 NCC cadets from nearly 50 schools and colleges will come together for structured training, discipline and learning. The cadets are organised into two wings, the Junior Wing for school students and the Senior Wing for college students.
Under the leadership of Commanding Officer Col. Vivek Batara, the cadets will be trained in marching techniques, squad formations, parade commands, weapon training, rifle shooting, map reading, sports and physical training.
Beyond the drills and routines, the camp provides cadets with an opportunity to develop discipline, coordination, confidence, teamwork and leadership through practical learning and shared experiences.

The Akal Academy Advanced Learning Programme is designed for selected Class 11 and 12 students from 130 Akal Academies, offering advanced learning in Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences beyond the regular school curriculum.
Based at Baru Sahib in the Values Valley, the programme brings together advanced academic learning, real-world application and value-based education. Students are selected through assessments conducted across Akal Academies to undertake this specialised learning journey.
The programme is mentored by Dr. Gurpreet Dhillon, John Becker Dean, College of Business Administration, University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA, and will be conducted under his close guidance, bringing an international academic perspective to the programme.
The programme helps students build deeper subject knowledge, analytical thinking and academic readiness, supporting preparation for competitive examinations as well as advanced studies at universities in India and abroad.
Preparing students not just for examinations, but for the advanced learning and opportunities that lie ahead.

The Akal Academy Holistic Development Programme, based in Chandigarh, is a dedicated residential programme for Class 11 and 12 girl students from 130 Akal Academies, bringing together focused academic preparation, personal development and a supportive living environment, while offering focused preparation for competitive examinations including NEET, IIT-JEE, UPSC and CLAT.
The programme offers dedicated batches, trained faculty and structured assessments to support focused preparation. Alongside academics, students have access to wellness activities, meditation, fitness, counselling, indoor games and value-based guidance to help them maintain balance and well-being.
The girls-only residential hostel provides air-conditioned rooms, nutritious and hygienic meals, 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance and experienced female wardens, creating a safe and comfortable environment for focused learning.

The State Gatka Championship saw a stellar performance by the students of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, who secured the 1st position in the championship, competing against participants from 9 districts across Himachal Pradesh. The team brought home a total of 18 medals - 15 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.
Competing across individual and team events in the U-14, U-17 and U-19 categories, the students put up a strong performance throughout the championship.
Among the standout performances, Rajvansh Singh secured 2 Gold Medals in Fari Soti – Individual and Fari Soti – Team Fight in the U-17 category. Ekampreet Singh (U- 14 category) also secured 2 Gold Medals in Single Soti – Individual and Single Soti – Team.
In the U-17 category, Gurjot Singh, Jashanpreet Singh and Ajaypal Singh secured Gold Medals in Fari Soti – Team Fight. Gurjot Singh also secured a Bronze Medal in Individual Demo.
In the U-14 category, Jorawar Singh, Fateh Singh, Veerpal Singh, Harnirmol Singh, Gurvansh Singh, Rajvir Singh and Jasmeh Singh each secured a Gold Medal, while Armaan Singh secured a Bronze Medal.
In the U-19 category, Agamjit Singh secured a Gold Medal in Fari Soti – Individual and a Silver Medal in Individual Demo.
Adding to the Academy's laurels, both teams have been selected for the National Gatka Championship. Their achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of the players, along with the consistent guidance and efforts of their coach.
The collective performance of these young athletes brings recognition to Akal Academy Baru Sahib and Himachal Pradesh, while contributing to the growing participation and recognition of Gatka among young athletes in the region.
