Akal Talent Search Scheme (ATSS) under the aegis of The Kalgidhar Trust/Society, Baru Sahib is a scholarship scheme which entails picking up gems from the lower echelons of the social fabric and putting them on the forward mode, academically, ensuring that the moral rejuvenation is emphasized enabling them to be role models not only for their peers but elders too. This sponsorship scheme, initiated in Delhi, will gradually disseminate in other parts of the nation.

Under this ATSS scheme, The Kalgidhar Trust/Society conducts an examination to identify brilliant young minds from lower strata of the society for further qualitative education in Class VI at Akal Academy Baru Sahib on subsidized fee basis.

Total number of scholarships: 5

Eligibility:

Students from class V for admission in class VI.

Percentage of marks in current class: 65%

Parental Income up to Rs. 1 lakh per annum.

Excellence in academic & overall growth in performance is essential for continuation of scholarship in successive classes.

Syllabus:

General subject knowledge of respective classes, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Basic Tenets of Sikhism.

Written Test:

To assess Numerical Ability, Non-verbal Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Knowledge and Gurmat.

Students qualifying in written test will be called for interview for final selection.
